This story follows the fantastical journey of horned siblings the Littles (Ima and Bea) through the elements of nature. The Playhouse Arts company will be performing for over 500 kids in the span of a few days. |

BACK IN THE STUDIO Bodies moving, voices singing, connecting through improvisation... Can't believe it's happening, and all so easily, but it's true: I'm engaging in an in-person collaboration with a group of inspiring performer-creators. We're rehearsing in a physical studio space. We're creating a show to be performed for a live audience in March 2022 at the Zero to Fierce Womxn's Festival. Stay tuned for more details in the new year!

"INTERSECTIONS" As a part of the Arcata Playhouse's multicultural experience Intersections, Where We Meet, centered in Goudi’ni (Arcata), on unceded Wiyot land, I am collaborating with director Laura Muñoz and company, with Centro Del Pueblo, in "Goudi’ni, Among the Trees." Together, in the dark under the trees of the Arcata Community Forest, are snippets of strange and beautiful life... Intersections features a number of separate online performances around Arcata caught via a multi-location live stream, performed live on October 17th. Take a look at a rehearsal video here! (This little piece is improvised with Laura Muñoz and Hannah Shaka.) |

THEATRE @ PELICAN BAY STATE PRISON
When I was a graduate student at Dell'Arte International, my class was the lucky first to visit Pelican Bay State Prison's theatre program in Crescent City, CA for two separate performance exchanges. A video of the first event was recently released, and you can check out the video here. I'm now happy to say I've joined the ranks as one of the Pelican Bay arts-in-corrections theatre teachers myself! The arts programs are expanding and evolving at Pelican Bay, with classes in visual arts, creative writing, music and an audio journalism course that just released a new podcast series called Pelican Bay Unlocked.

FUNDRAISER for CLOWNS WITHOUT BORDERS I recently enjoyed performing one of my favorite acts, The Smoking Sutras, with fellow clowns Alfredo Romero and Laura Muñoz, at a clown cabaret benefitting Clowns Without Borders. The event, hosted by Dell'Arte International, aimed to raise funds and spread awareness of CWB's mission to bring "laughter and humor to children and persons in areas of crisis." Check out this wonderful organization here. |

CREATIVITY IN ALL ITS EXPRESSIONS
"Here I am" is a particular phrase that often pops into my mind. I seem to find myself everywhere, from an awareness of my own state in a particular moment, to a foreign culture I never imagined entering into, to a unique local community event, an alien landscape of empty beach or desert, and so on. I began writing about these "everywheres" in short blurbs and essays, then drawing, then moving my body. I've started posting all of these expressions on the evolving site below, which I like to think of as my "Everywhere Space."

ACTING COACHING for NON-ACTORS I discovered a joy for one-on-one acting coaching last year when I worked with two talented musicians who were going to be acting in a music video directed by videographer Glen Nagy. Autumn 2018 saw the release of singer-songwriter Rachel Beccaria's first music video, which I was invited to collaborate on as an acting coach. Produced by Mercury Sky Records, the video also offers a great look at some local Humboldt County scenery. |
